Oil - 18 x 24"
This was painted in my studio in Brooklyn, NY in 2005. I had used a small plein air sketch that I had done in Acadia National Park in Maine, as a reference and starting point. The painting shows a crashing surf against a rock at an area called Schooner Head. Notice the seagull which seems indifferent to the action around it.
