This was painted about two years ago (2006) in the summer. It is a study done in my neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. It was painted at sunset on S. 5th St. which runs right along the Williamsburg Bridge, which is the large structure to the left. The suns intensity can be seen spilling over from behind the bridge and light reflects from the cars parked along the street and the buildings to the right. Intense sunset colors are seen in the sky while the water takes on a turquoise color.
