Painted last summer in 2008 in Stowe, Vermont. It is a scene looking out from Trapp Lodge, at about late afternoon, when the sky is showing its first hints of sunset glow. In the foreground is a garden of a variety of pink and white flowers. Going off into the distance the mountains are enveloped in an atmosphere of violet.
