Painted in August, 2008 in upstate New York, it is a painting of Peach Lake (in Brewster, NY) which I like to observe and study in all conditions in different seasons. This painting was done at dawn and shoes the intensity of the sky as the sun if just about to rise above the horizon. The blues and violets bring the trees and mountains back into space in the distance while the warm tones of the foreground brings you forward in space.
