Oil - 11 x 14"
Painted last autumn, August of 2008, this painting of Peach Lake in the morning shows the foreground line of trees and shrubbery in dark shadow which contrasts with the airy lightness of the lake beyond, the tree line of the distance and the sky, with its colors of dawn and brightly tinctured clouds.
The location is upstate New York, near the Connecticut border yet close enough to be considered the Hudson Valley.
The painting was exhibited in "Firstfruits" exhibition held at the offices of Redeemer Presbyterian Church of New York, NY in midtown-Manhattan.
