"Nulla Dies Sine Linea" which translates as "Never a Day without a Line". This text is incorporated into the seal of the Art Students League of New York. "In general it was a standing practice with Apelles never to be so occupied with carrying out the day's business that he did not practice his art by drawing a line, and the example that he set has come down as a proverb" Pliny
